Design Different Label and Data File Introductions

1． Run ilabel.exe or select the Windows->Start->ilabel to start the label expert program，and select “File->new” in menu, or click .


2． On a “select template” window, select a template, such as select CL438 as shown in Figure, click “OK”, and begin to design label.


3． Select “Data->New” in the menu or click , new a data file. If open a existed data file, select “Date->Open Data” in the menu or click .


4． On the “New Catalog” window, input the data file name at the space of “ File Name”, such as “ Import data of fruit” as shown in Figure, click “Open”.


5． Input the field names at the blank space in the upper right corner, in the “ Make Field” window, such as “name”, “code” and “price” and so on.. After click “Add”, the new field name appear in the left blank area. Change the sequence of the filed name by “up” and “down”, and cancel the useless field name by “Cancel”.

The Ilabel label software has a default setting for address label, when click the “ Field Name used usually” in the “ Produce Field” window, a selected window appear as shown., and cancel the tick at front of field name if not need it. Click “Close”.



6．Input the content at the blank space in Figure <13> in the “List Manage” window, after the first data are entered , click “New Catalog|”, begin next data, and so on, close the window.

a) “1/3” in Figure show that the data on the window is the first data , there are 3 data in the file. The numerator is the position of the current data, the denominator is the total of data in the data file, the former can be changed by the left and right arrows.
b) Select the “Print Object” usually, if not select it , this data can't be printed. When the value of “Number of Printing” is nil, this data can't be printed. It is equal to or more than 1, the data can be printed. Note: When select “ Using Print Number” on the printing window, the number of labels printed are related to the value of “Number of Printing” here. If select the “111,222,333…” or “123,123,123…”, the number of labels printed are all 1, no matter how much the value of “Number of Printing” is.
c) Click “New”, Input the content of data at the area in Figure <13>.
d) Click “Copy”, the content of current data can be copied to the new data.
e) Click “Delete”, cancel the current data catalog.
f) Find some data by the content of a field.
g) Select which way the data are ordered by a field or the sequence of data entered.. The default is by the sequence of data entered.
h) To sift out the data by the size or request of a field. And click “Del Sift” to return to the original data shape.
i) If click the “Set All Printabel” , then the “Print Object” of all data are selected. If click the “Entire Cancel”, and cancel the selection of the “Print Object” for all data.
j) Increase field , if miss some field name when produce field name catalog, click it , new field name appears at the final postion.
Cancel field, delete the unwanted field name. Because deleted the content in this field of all data when click it , and so carefully use it.
k) Close the “List Manage” window, but the data file is opening.
l) Field name.
m) The content of data are input at the blank space .
n) To allocate a field name as the field of the postcode when used address and postcode.
o) It is the name of file opening or editing.
p) It is the template of label designing or opening.

7．Select “Date->Merge Field” in the menu or click , Move the cursor at which space the fields are inserted on the design window, and select the field name on the “Merge Field” window, and click “Add” finally.
